President Lance Richert called the meeting to order at 7:00pm at Round Table Pizza in Overlake Park, Redmond.

President’s
Report:
Election Committee Report by Lucetta: The committee has met and they are working on commitments. Deadline is Oct. 14th for nomination form, and the statement needs to be written and submitted by Oct. 21st.
Survey in Zundfolge: Discussion regarding space required for the survey. Discussed using a centerfold insert that can be torn out and mailed in. Maybe have advertising on the insert to defray printing costs. Content needs to be kept to two pages. Will try for the double issue of Nov-Dec. Need to alert members the last issue of the year will be a combined issue.
Club T-shirts: Announce in the Nov-Dec issue for members to mail in a check for buying T-shirts, with size and choice of long sleeve or short sleeve. Lance will get idea of costs and picture of art work.
USGP F1: The United States Grand Prix Formula 1 race will be available to view at BMW Seattle on Sept. 30th. We are invited to attend, space is limited, and this announcement will go out as a bulk email to club members.

Report:
The balance is $14846.50 as of Tuesday 9/4/01, which is similar to last year’s balance at this time.
General
Meetings and events:
ALMS PIR tent follow-up: David reported it was a successful event.
CCA National meeting follow-up: Lucetta reported some members attended the meeting on Saturday, but the dinner was well attended with 90 diners. The dinner itself was adequate but not great. It was a good event nonetheless.
Car Corral @ IRDC SIR race: Lance said the RSVP’s are low but folks will show up the day of the race.
Video Night 9/12: viewing of races at ALMS Portland and Speedvision race at Bisson Creek Restaurant in Burien.
Evergreen Speedway Demolition Show and Fireworks 9/29: One magazine promotion and bulk email to announce event.
CCA 02 Tech Session 9/15 at Ray Kirkland’s home: 10-12 time frame, basic brake repairs and carb tune up are some of the topics to be covered.
Autobody tech repair 11/3: Jim Millet reports it is ready to go. Advertiser Peter Onley will be there from State Farm insurance.
2002 SIG events: Ken reported on the 8/18 Mt. Rainier drive. Fun event. Labor Day weekend event in Vancouver had 10 Seattle cars. Planning big 02 Fest the Saturday before our club concours in July.
BMW Collectibles show at MICC 11/17: David reported there was not enough time to advertise event for the November time slot. Can we move it back to December, early in the month to have time to organize it? Possibly December 8th, 9-1:00 in room A1? David will look into the change of date.
Driving
Schools:
Walt reported the August 22nd event was a good one. There was one incident in the morning but the day went really well. The October 28th school is coming up!
Tours/Rally:
Karl reported the Ocean Shores trip 8/4 was great. The Fest NW will be 9/15. He has written up a job description for the Tour Coordinator to use next term.

July and August ad revenue are up.
Roster/Membership:
2683 CCA members. Averaging 50-70 new members per month.
Banquet:
Kevin contacted the Harbor Club regarding prices. Other places were suggested like Bellevue Hyatt, and Daniels Broiler, Anthony’s at Shilshole and the Yankee Diner in Ballard. Kevin will contact the Bear Creek country club to check on prices. Some discussion on possible speakers, and discussion on considering not having a speaker at all.
Roundabout:
