The Banquet was a huge success. Everyone had fun.

ACA/CCA Merger issues

Ops Manual Committee: Lucetta reported a better name would be Policy and Procedure Manual. Has committee of 3 people, Lucetta, Tom Cox, & Ray Kirkland. Will add more people.

Other ACA/CCA transition issues:

Track issues, helmets, tech, convertibles, and passengers, will be covered under Track & Driving Schools.

President’s Report:

Lance not present. He wants a separate Board meeting some Saturday to plan long-term directions of the club.

Treasurer’s Report:

Banquet profitably successful. Suggested we give more to other charities. Discussion regarding the excess profit received from banquet. Suggested we keep a fixed amount or fixed percentage to donate.

Banquet Follow-up:

Rick reported the following: Thanks to all who helped make it a success. There was a 30% increase in attendance. The increase in profit over last year was 49%. About 110 people attended. There were quite a few new faces!! Rick will not do the chairman duties again next year.

Track & Driving Schools:

Jacqueline reported the February Zundfolge issue would contain an article on the Instructor’s Clinic defining the priority on accepting participants. Priority will be given to those who have been instructing with the program in the last year. The Motorsports calendar will have all the dates for the other local clubs in the area; PCA, Spokane, & the Alfa Club. The calendar is larger than ever with plenty of driving events for our members. She has recruited Michael Lord for the position of Conference (ICSCC) Contest Board Representative for our club. The helmet intercom communication system will be available at the Instructor’s Clinic for people to try it out. They can order a set for $45.

General Meetings:

Automotive Legal Talk – 02/03 Lucetta reported it would be at l0:00am at the Mercer Island Community Center.

Wine Tasting – 02/21 Bill L. reported for Chris that there are not many responses yet. The bulk email will go out soon, which will help.

Get Involved//New Member meeting – 03/10 No report on this event.

E36 Tech Session – 03/31 Jim reported everyone is excited about it from Car Tender. It will be limited to 50 people.

Video Night – 04/18 No report

Dyno Day – 04/21 No report

Zundfolge:

The new issue was mailed late. Problems we had no control over. Lots of members are placing classified ads. We have more ads then we have space for.

Roster/Membership:

Greg reported: Based on the database information provided by CCA National we have 2252 members, 114 associate members (we receive no money for them and don’t send them a Zundfolge) and National sends Roundels to 21 businesses. Robyn Bailey will not be moving to South Carolina when the National office moves. She has handled the database merger and has been my contact in regards to membership issues. There have been very few glitches in regards to memberships in the merger. I believe there are around 3-4 which I feel is a small number, and National resolved these in a timely and proper manner. When our membership gets acclimated to sending their address changes and requests for things like membership cards to National, then things should be very smooth. Presently if I receive an address change I make it for our records and forward it on to National. This works well as long as it is done before the database closure date, which is mid-month. If I receive it after that time, the member will get their Zundfolge but not their Roundel right away.

Tours/Rally:

Karl reported on the La May tour – haven’t heard back on dates he inquired about. Marty hosted a Z3 event to see if there was interest to go to Spartanburg over Labor Day weekend. The wine tour will be June 23-24 to Walla Walla.

Web Site:

Dale reported the new domain is up and running. We will keep the old one up for another year. The message board is ready to go.

Concours:

Bill L. reported the Robinswood site is locked in for Sunday, July 29th. It will be from 8:00am to 4:00pm. Plan on having the Z3 as the featured mark. Will need to limit the number of participants. Will need to have a pre-registration discount. Suggested someone talk to John Curley from Evening Magazine for coverage of the event.
