Opening Comments:

Introductions were made to be sure everyone knew each other.

New BMW CCA brochures were distributed. Bellevue BMW dealership is putting them in the owner’s manuals.

A motion was made and passed to dispose of boxes of old ACA membership material on the club that Lance has been holding for the past two years.

A draft of a contact list for the Zundfolge was distributed showing the contact person for certain BMW models. These local club members can help club members with questions on repairs or modifications to different BMWs. It was suggested that this contact list be published every other month on page 2 in the Zundfolge, alternating with the contact list of the Board of Directors. Lance will ask Lucetta if she can accommodate this type of change to the magazine every other month. It was also suggested that the website have pictures of each "expert" with a short bio.

President’s Report:

Election Committee Report: The board voted on and approved the following positions:

Track – Jacqueline Kahn and Walt Conley

Website – Kurt Lieber

Zundfolge – Lucetta Lightfoot and a second position open at this time

Tom Cox reported we need one person to sell advertising and do collections on accounts that are in arrears. A specific policy should be spelled out in the contract with advertisers. The board voted on a policy stating if an advertiser is in arrears for four months their ad will be pulled. Tom also stated he needs to know if Jim Millet will continue to contact advertisers who are not paying their bills.

Member Survey: Lance reports there have been 35 surveys completed, with about 2/3 of them by the website.

Club T-shirts: Waiting, nothing new according to Lance.

Club Greeting Card: "502" going out to all CCA chapters and advertisers, and CCA VIP people, and to businesses that helped us host events, and track helpers, etc. A motion was made and passed to spend about $200-250 for the cost of these greeting cards.

Treasurer Report:

There is $34,623.72 in our account. The C.D. amount is $6185.44.

Budget: The budget report was distributed. There was discussion on paying for track events ahead of time to save 5% on track fees at Pacific Raceway. With uncertainty at Pacific Raceway and dipping too far into our cash, it was decided not to pay ahead for events.

General Meetings and events:

There will be an event recap of 2001 submitted to Lucetta for publication in the magazine.

2002 SIG events – Ken reports there will be a July 27th event in Northbend. There are three sponsors secured for the event. Thank you to Lance for the letter he sent to Phil Marx regarding the 02 club. Would like another tech session next year for the 02’s.

BMW Collectibles show at MICC – 12/8 - David reported there are 8-10 presenters signed up, hoping to get a few more.

E30 M3 tech session – 2/16 - Lance/Bill – it will be at Auburn Foreign Car at 2:00pm and then on to Bison Creek for Video night.

Karting enduro - Need chairman for this event. Michael Lord cannot continue.

Other Meetings – suggested VRM for a possible event.

It was noted we could use a master calendar brought to the board meetings to plan dates. David will be responsible for doing this as the club secretary.

Web Site:

The bulletin board is well used. Jacqueline requested a quick recap at the board meetings as a tool to see what is being talked about on the bulletin board. A new Web Site will be launched around January 1st. A motion was made and passed to allocate approx. $500 for this new Web Site.

Zundfolge:

No report.

Roster/Membership:

Have 2671 including associate members. There are 236 associate members.

Driving Schools:

Jacqueline distributed new dates for track events. Contract not available yet for Pacific Raceways. Bremerton track fees are increasing. The track program will be put up on the Web Site. Will try to get a date for a meeting with Jason from Pacific Raceways with our members.

Banquet:

Have received only one reservation so far. Kevin distributed a donor list for the board members to look over and sign up to procure donations.

Tours/Rally:

Ken Olsen will do another TSD rally next year. He has the course workers lined up already. Will try for a date in late April. May try to get involved with the Seattle Classic, which is a 2-day event. A fall mini rally may be available to join up with as well. Ken is looking into a wine tour for next year and taking other suggestions for tours.

Concours:

July 28th.the feature car will be the 2002. Need to finalize our reservation at Robinswood Park.
