There was a lot of email about last months Board meeting
minutes. Rick asks the Board to be kind with email and remember that everyone on
the Board is a volunteer. David Lightfoot discussed supporting Ken and Wes
Hill as they participate in the 24 Hour Daytona event. Marty made a motion
that our chapter support with a pledge of $1000.00 each. David seconded
the motion and the motion carried with a majority. It was also suggested
that the Hill brothers attend some sort of social function or Board meeting to
discuss their experiences after the event. Lance reported that T-shirt
sales were very good at the Concours. He states that approx. 50 shirts were sold
at this one event. Jeff wrote a brief note, to be in the next Zündfolge,
thanking BMW Seattle for coming to the last track event.

access to several prestigious locally owned car collections. He hopes to have
something scheduled for this fall.

member. He stated that individual membership resulted in free entry to the
museum but was unsure what a club membership would entail. Mike will obtain
additional information and present it at the next Board meeting.

stages. Marty will finalize hotel reservation information.

Concours
Lance reported that there were 125 cars this year. The event
was down 17 cars from last year. There were 57 judged cars this year, which
proved problematic for the judges. Last year the Concours made approx. $1100.00
and this year it made approx. $1200- 1300.00 even after expenses. $600.00 was
donated to the Renton Lions Club. Next year he may lower the entry fee. He also
purchased two easy up awnings for club use. He felt the food vender kept his
costs very fair. Lance suggested that the Concours committee may, come up with
more prizes or awards in order to decrease the profit margin of this event.
Lance then made a motion to increase the amount of the donation next year to
$600.00
David seconded. Motion passed with a majority.
Zündfolge
Lucetta reported that the deadline for the September 2005
issue is August 2, 2005.
The deadline for the October 2005 issue is August 30,2005. (note change in date
due to scheduling conflicts ).
We are working on the third issue using the new software and all is going fine.
Some adjustments were made as some tasks take longer and some take less time.
Over all it is much better and look forward to working with this system ongoing.
We made a change in bindery services as the previous company was taking more and
more time to finish our job.
We denied a submission because of copyright issues.
We always welcome contributions from members.
