Nominating Committee

The Committee reports that we have a full slate of Officers, with no contested positions.

Treasurer's Report

David reports that the cash basis is down, as we've prepaid all of the Pacific Raceway track fees.  He distributed a report, which is attached to these minutes by its mention.  Current assets total $86,799.70, with $51,646.18 in cash.  Both Zündfolge and Track are on their budgets.  Track will not make quite as much money as forecast due to the Fall Novice school and Portland school being somewhat under-subscribed.  Committee draft operating budgets for 2005 are due at the December Board meeting, and final budgets are due at the January meeting.

General Meetings

Past events:

Video Night, 10/13 - 40 people attended a very fun event at Bison Creek

Jim thought a Hart Collection tour would be nice.
Lance and Wes are working on a "how to get into racing" tech session
Jeff will work on a tour of VRM in the early Spring
A tire tech session was proposed.
Martin proposed a Turbo/Supercharger tech session at Carb Connection
Social events - summer BBQ?
de-Anna will head up the new member meeting.

Track Committee
Past Events -
• October 17th Novice school had rather light attendance, possibly due to the torrential rain.  We also had an Instructor damage his car on the full course at the end of the day, possibly due to the combination of rain and VHT.  The Driving Committee recognizes that we have a concern with the full course at Bremerton, and will revisit how we conduct Instructor rides in the off-season.
• October 30th school (Portland) again was lightly attended, only 43 students.  It was raining again, and the track was extremely slick.  Kudos to the Instructors for keeping everyone safe in the difficult conditions.

Upcoming Events
-
• November 13th Advanced Skills Day at Bremerton has 20 people signed up.  We would like to see 30.  Dan Tackett, the Pacific Region DEC, is coming to help with the event.

General Business -
• Bremerton rates for 2005 are going up to $750.
• The Foundation has approached us as a Chapter to host a Street Survival school in 2005.  We said we were interested.

• Tentative dates for 2005:  2/20-Instructor Clinic (BMP); 2/26-Instructor Clinic (PR); 3/13-Novice School (BMP); 3/19-Novice School (PR); 6/5-Driving School (PR); 7/10-Driving School (PR); 8/28-Driving School (PR).  October Novice school won't be scheduled until the Conference race schedule and the IEC school schedules are released.
