BMW CCA, Puget Sound Region
Meeting Notes

April 03, 2003

BMW CCA Puget Sound Board Members, Coordinators and Chairs

Members in attendance

Vice President Ken Hill called the meeting to order at 7:10.

PRESIDENT'S REPORT

Ken Hill reports that Tom Cox and Bill Spornitz are at Buttonwillow instructor's clinic.

As requested by Tom, Wes has researched the Chatterbox intercom system that National is recommending be purchased in bulk for the track programs. Wes recommends a "NO" vote by Tom to the National authority. The rejection was based on these factors:

1. Most of our instructors already have their own intercoms.

2. Buying a bunch which would be Club owned might be a pain to administer, especially keeping them charged, etc.

3. Buying these units with Club funds would benefit only those who attend track events. On the other hand, the purchase could easily be covered by 2003 event profits.

TREASURER'S REPORT

David presented the Balance sheet as of March 31

CCA Reimbursement request for Zundfolge distribution has been filed

David presented the Track budget form

David presented the Zundfolge annual budget form

David reports that we cannot close out the Banquet account because Kevin Chow still has some checks; Tom Cox will follow up on this.

David reports that bank service has improved, but he is still looking at alternatives

Form 990 has been filed.

The Board thanks David for his initiative in creating the account management forms for the Club, Track, Zundfolge. These have not been available in the past, and will help greatly to run the club on an annual basis allowing better forward budgeting.

ROUNDABOUT

Chris Chow has proposed an E-30 scavenger hunt

David reports that the National Board meeting minutes make for very interesting reading. (It was noted that David might have too much time on his hands.)

David also floated the idea that if the LA Chapter reneges on holding the 2004 Octoberfest, perhaps we should consider hosting it. The enormity of this idea precluded any meaningful discussion. The topic will come up again.

Doug Haussler needs a banner with logos for Bimmerfest. One was found.

Ken Hill adjourned the meeting at 9:10

Respectfully submitted

Secretary
